The exchange of a driving license in Poland applies to people who want to drive a vehicle on the territory of Poland and have a driving license issued by another country. This can be done on the terms specified by law to avoid the need to pass exams and courses.
To exchange a driver’s license, a person must meet the following requirements:
Have a valid driving licence issued by a non-EU or EEA country.
Legal residence in Poland.
Submitting an application for the exchange of a driving license to the relevant provincial authority.
Payment of a fee for the exchange of a driver’s license.
18 years of age in case of exchange of a Category B driving licence, or 21 years in case of exchange of a Category C, D, CE, DE driving licence.
Have the right to drive in accordance with the law.
The replacement of the driver’s license is necessary if a person intends to permanently reside in Poland or stays in Poland for more than 185 days within a calendar year.
